Quategra develops Hard- and Software for Embedded Systems. The Embedded Market is similar to other markets of software development when it comes to requirements. Often requirements change during the development process or were added to a project after its start. Quategra was looking for an integrative tool not only for requirements, but for all development lifecycle aspects of a project, including strong tracking and monitoring capabilities.

We have evaluated some tools in the market, such as Doors and Accept Software, but they were either too expensive, didn't meet our requirements and wishes, or both. As we have seen QPack for the first time, we were curious if it will live up to the promises made about it.

And yes - it did, and still does.

We are working with QPack about 8 months now and we are very contented with it. The way Orcanos cares for us with installation first introduction and implementation of QPack was far beyond what we expected from a software vendor.

QPack itself is very self-explanatory. You can really learn how to handle it by day-to-day practice, and if you have open issues - the online help and support service of Orcanos are by your side. Because of the distance in time and area, we generally communicate via Email and all of our questions and issues are answered within hours. For urgent issues Orcanos is always available by phone.

QPack really gives us the possibility to control our projects. We set up a workflow according to our company´s structure and size. This workflow ensures a standardized development process. With all the features offered by QPack for documenting requirements, planning and executing test cases and last but not least, tracking defects, we can improve the quality of our development process. That means that we are in a position to guarantee a transparent and clearly structured process. Of course we still can make mistakes - everyone does - but we can show how defects are handled. And that's a valuable difference when it comes to the customer´s satisfaction.
